Construction on one of the largest mixed-use developments in Clarence's recent history is set to begin by late summer.

$30 million Harris Hill Commons clears final barrier to groundbreaking

Harris Hill Commons will be made up of eight mixed-use buildings on two stories. Each building will feature a street-level retail or office space on the first floor, and three apartments on its second floor. There are also 23 townhouse units planned - five with four units, and 18 with two units each. Silvestri Architects P.C. was retained to design the project. Greenman-Pedersen Inc. was hired to do the engineering. According to filings made in the Niagara County Clerk's Office on Jan. 9, HZMYSE LLC, Buffalo investors, paid $125,000 for a two unit apartment building at 1604 Niagara Ave. Niagara Falls. According to filings made in January 9 by the Niagara County Clerk's Office, a 10-acre parcel of land at Old Niagara and Lake roads in Lockport was purchased by Cornell Cooperative Extension Corp. for $225,000. Linda Bewley Richard Bewley and Dudley Bewley owned the land. The property is currently not under any plans.
