The new appointees will be focused on the state's financial and real estate industries, according to the announcement from the governor's office.

Hobbs stated in a statement that Arizona's growth trend requires leaders who can understand consumer and business needs to make it possible. Susan Nicolson was appointed director of the department for real estate. Barbara Richardson was named director of the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions. Richardson has over 18 years of experience in financial regulation. As the director of operations, fraud and the New Hampshire Insurance Department's director, Richardson has managed executive-level teams. Hobbs also retained Sandra Watson, who is the president and CEO at the Arizona Commerce Authority. This agency assists in attracting new business to the state. Carmen Heredia, Valle del Sol's CEO, was named director of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System. Angie Rodgers was elected the president and CEO of Arizona Food Bank Network. Cynthia Zwick, long-serving executive director of Phoenix-based nonprofit Wildfire (an Arizona advocacy group that seeks to end poverty), was named the new director of Residential Utility Consumer Office.
