Billionaire Superyacht Showdown: Who's Who In St. Barths For New Years 2023
The megayacht line up is lighter this year following Russian oligarch seizures, but the showdown is still on with many billionaires currently anchored near the tiny Caribbean Island.

The port of Gustavia is looking a little less crowded this holiday season, without the traditional Russian oligarch superyachts making their annual pilgrimage to the island. Gone this year are notables such as Roman Abramovich and his 553 foot megayacht Eclipse, Victor Rashnikov's 459 foot Ocean Victory, and more. A few of the massive yachts that were not seized by the government are now anchored in locations such as Turkey, Dubai, and the Maldives. The legendary superyacht showdown, started early with several high profile billionaires already anchored outside of Gustavia and neighboring St. Maarten, and Antigua. Many will stay throughout Christmas on the island of Antigua and then party with the traditional fireworks New Years Eve celebration in St Barths. Here is a selection of some of the largest yachts that are in and around St. Barths for the holidays. It is important to note that yachts are often privately chartered during the holidays, so you may never see their wealthy owners.
