Dallas-based Rusty Taco acquired by California investment firm
The investment firm purchased the local taco franchise from Atlanta-based Inspire Brands, which also operates franchises including Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin' Donuts, Jimmy John's and SONIC Drive-In.

Dallas-based Rusty Taco will be acquired by California-based Gala Capital Partners, the company announced today. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. "I want to thank Inspire Brands for the support and resources to propel our national footprint, accelerate our growth, and lead us to increased AUVs and success across four-day parts." GCP currently has investments in franchises such as Dunn Brothers Coffee, Cici's Pizza and MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes. While the future looks bright, we also know that there's a fantastic opportunity right now for the brand,' A representative for GCP said in a news release. 'Rusty Taco offers competitive unit-level economics and investment returns, has manageable operations, and is in a dining segment that is on-trend, growing, and lacks competition. As a result, Rusty Taco will be a strong addition to the portfolio."
