EXCLUSIVE: Peach Cobbler Factory, CEO Greg George sued on claims of libel by the brand's founders
The lawsuit alleges the CEO began to circulate false information about the founders after they decided to terminate their business relationship with him last year.

According to the suit, George made false statements directly about Peach Cobbler Factory employees and other franchisees. The Edgertons claim that George used a racial slur to refer to Juan Edgerton, an African American, in a business meeting. The case will be supervised by William Campbell Jr., District Judge. The Edgertons are represented in this case by James Crumlin Jr. Courtney Creal and Kristen Walker, as well as Spencer Fane, Spencer Fane Bone McAllester, of Nashville. The lawsuit is just one aspect of the story. Business First sent messages to George and Crumlin, the Edgertons' lawyers, late last week, but didn't receive any responses before this article was published. Peach Cobbler Factory is a fast-growing dessert chain. Juan and Tamira Edgerton opened the Peach Cobbler factory concept in Nashville as a food truck. George informed Business First in July 2022, that the Edgertons would continue to be part of the company as franchisees and advisers. He declined to reveal the purchase price or the revenue of the chain. Peach Cobbler Factory has five locations throughout Greater Louisville
