Frozen fruit sold at Walmart, Aldi, Trader Joe's, Target, Whole Foods recalled over possible listeria contamination
Sunrise Growers recalls frozen fruit products sold at chain stores nationwide due to possible listeria contamination.

The US Food and Drug Administration has announced that Sunrise Growers is recalling frozen fruit products from chain stores across the country due to possible listeria contamination.
Walmart, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's distributed the products to Walmart, Target, Aldi, AWG and Target across the nation between fall 2022 until this week. On the FDA website, you can find a list of all recalled products and their package codes.
FDA says the fruit was pineapple supplied by a third party supplier.
The recall has not been linked to any illnesses. Listeria causes a variety of short-term symptoms in healthy adults, including fever, nausea, abdominal discomfort and diarrhea. However, it can lead to serious infections, even death, in older adults, children and those with weak immune systems. The infection can cause miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women.
The FDA urges customers who have shopped in these stores to check the freezers of their homes for any recalled fruit. You can either throw away the fruit or return it for a refund.
