Here are the 15 restaurants set to open in Sioux Falls in 2023

If there's one thing Sioux Falls loves, it's hundreds of restaurants. Whether they're locally-owned or a growing franchise, the city gains dozens of new places to wine and dine each year.There are already 15 restaurants planning to open in 2023. For the purpose of this list, we've excluded national chains, unless this is the first location of any chain planned to open in Sioux Falls.There will certainly be more announcements throughout next year, but here's what we know so far.Did we miss any? The store will be located in a strip mall at the new 69th and Cliff development in the southeast part of town. The Nebraska-based chain used to have a location in Sioux Falls, but it closed in 2015. Now, local Jenny Pals is franchising a by-the-slice and to-go Valentino's restaurant on the east side of town in the first part of 2023.More:Sioux Falls local franchising Valentino's pizza, opening store early 2023Chick N MaxPlanned opening: Early 2023The first of three Chick N Max franchise locations planned to come to Sioux Falls will open at Lake Lorraine in the first part of 2023. The Kansas-based restaurant is known for its almond wood smoked chicken and wings.

The restaurant menu features traditional Korean meats like Galbee, Sam Byeob Sal and Dak Bulgogi. The menu focuses on whole and organic ingredients while catering to overall health and wellness goals. The menu will include poke bowls and ramen along with tea drinks.

The store will be located in the same strip mall as Smoothie King in front of the Empire Mall.Cathedral Historic District RestaurantPlanned opening: Spring or summer 2023Alex Halbach plans to turn a former grocery store in the Cathedral Historic District into a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant. He will be working with the owners of Bread & Circus and the general manager for Sioux Falls Food Co+op, who will be in charge of the menu and staff. The menu will include frozen treats made out of fresh fruit will as well as pistachio, coffee, mango and lime flavored ice creams, among others.

They will include Burger Dive, seafood destination Smack Shack and an unnamed taco/tequila concept. Owner Emily Wilson started Bee Loved in 2019 with cooking classes and as a private in-home chef.
