Coach Steve Clifford has a message to the Charlotte Hornets ahead of their matchup against Milwaukee. Clifford stated that they had discussed the four games -- clearly tonight's opponent is very tough -- but not giving away as many possessions. "We are like any other team in this league. We can win any game. The Hornets defeated Milwaukee 138 to 109. They tied the NBA record for the most points in the first quarter. It also broke franchise records for the most points in the first half. This was a remarkable effort for a team that had lost 15 of its previous 19 games. The Hornets were buoyed by a hot start, including a 51-point quarter that tied the mark set by Golden State in 2019. They also had an 84-point burst in the first half that set a franchise record.
