One of St. Louis' largest nonprofit organizations names new COO

Affinia Healthcare, a nonprofit St. Louis health care system, has hired a new chief operating officer. She previously had been executive director of community health operations for Chesterfield-based Mercy, one of the nation's 25 largest health systems, since 2020. Holmes had been named to her post in March 2022 to succeed former President and CEO Alan Freeman, who retired at the end of 2021. A U.S. Air Force veteran, she also served as an administrative officer for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Lovelace holds a master's degree in management and leadership from Webster University, and a bachelor's degree in business management from Columbia College in St. Louis. She joined Affinia in 2013 and since 2020 has served as its assistant vice president of clinical integration. A registered nurse, Deal holds master's and bachelor's degrees in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has served in the U.S. Army Reserves since 1995, rising to rank of captain. 'I look forward to working alongside these skilled professionals as we continue to advance the mission of Affinia Healthcare.' Through 11 locations, Affinia provides services including urgent care, primary and preventive health care, women's health services, pediatrics, podiatry, behavioral health care and laboratory services. It has a total local staff of 381, according to Business Journal research.
