Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the European Union’s approval of a 50 billion euro aid package for Ukraine. The program aims to provide financial guarantees for social stability through annual tranches of 18 billion euros. Zelenskyy sees the approval as a signal of unity to both Moscow and the United States, urging the latter to approve further aid. The US government has been pushing for $61 billion in fresh funding for Ukraine, but progress has been delayed. Ukrainian officials reported on two French citizens killed in a Russian drone strike in Kherson region. Electricity was also lost in the city of Kryvyi Rih following the strikes.
