Rancho Cordova's Inszone Insurance buys another brokerage, Carmichael Associates in Agoura Hills

Rancho Cordova-based Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Carmichael Associates Inc., a 35-year-old independent insurance agency in Agoura Hills that specializes in employee benefits and other commercial lines of insurance. 'Acquiring Carmichael provides additional resources for our employee benefits division, not only in the state of California but throughout the country. Employee benefits continues to be a key area of growth for our company, and we look forward to the work we will accomplish as we continue to acquire benefits focused agencies.' It completed 29 acquisitions last year. It brings the former independent agencies back-office assistance, compliance and marketing to be more efficient. With the acquisition of an office in Oceanside last week, Inszone now has 35 locations in eight states. Inszone has grown to have 380 employees, up from about 200 at the start of last year, Walters said, via email.
