NORTHAMPTON MA / ACCESSWIRE / February 24, 20,23 / Yum! Taco Bell empowers its employees to embrace change, be fearless and embrace difference. We will continue to highlight their voices in honor of this year's focus, and the Black community. First, some background on Black History Month... Black History Month was founded in February 1926 by Carter G Woodson as a one-week celebration. The week became a month-long celebration celebrating Black American history 50 years later. Mardoche has had a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others since he was a child. He was able to achieve his dream thanks to several important moments in his life. Mardoche was a car enthusiast his whole life. He was fascinated by the evolution of the automobile industry over the years and wanted the opportunity to contribute to that. Mardoche understood that higher education was necessary to fulfill his dreams. He said, "Education allows you to pursue dreams that were impossible before." Mardoche was passionate about higher education but he did not want to give up on his dreams and education. Mardoche had to leave school for a year to save money and work, before he was awarded the Live Mas Scholarship by the Taco Bell Foundation. This negatively impacted his outlook on the world. Mardoche said that failure is not something to be taken as a bad experience, but rather to learn from it and become stronger. "Continue to be a leader in all aspects of your life, even when faced with adversity. If you fail, you can't improve. He took his learnings and has applied them to his daily life, at Taco Bell and in school. He stated, "Working for Taco Bell is about being helpful, caring, respectful."
